About these terms

These terms apply to your use of the Artemis website at artemissecure.co.in, operated by Team Artemis. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

What Artemis does

Artemis runs passive checks on a domain or link you enter. It reads what an ordinary visitor's browser would receive: the site's certificate, response headers and cookies, plus public DNS records, registration details and public blocklists. It also opens the page in an isolated browser to see forms that the page's scripts create. It doesn't type into forms, log in to sites, look for hidden pages or test for vulnerabilities. It can also check a UPI payment link or UPI ID for common signs of a scam, using only what's written in the link. The Artemis Site Check browser extension, if you turn its warnings on, runs a lighter check on the domain of each site you open.

Accounts

You don't need an account to use Artemis. You can create one with your email address and a password, which you need to confirm before you can sign in, or with your Google account. You're responsible for keeping your password and your Google account safe. If you forget it, use "Forgot password" on the login screen. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

Results are guidance, not a guarantee

Results come from automated rules and third-party data, which can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. A low risk score, "No impersonation signs" or "No payment warning signs" doesn't mean a site or payment is safe, and a high score doesn't prove a site is malicious. Artemis can't see who owns a UPI ID. Check a site's address yourself before entering passwords or payment details, and check the name your UPI app shows before you pay.

Links to other websites

The "Continue to" and "Continue anyway" links take you to websites we don't own or control. We aren't responsible for their content or for what happens when you use them. You visit them at your own risk.

Reporting sites

Only report a site or UPI ID you honestly believe is harmful. Team Artemis reviews reports, and a report doesn't change a site's result by itself. Don't include other people's personal information. We may ignore reports, and block anyone who sends false or abusive ones.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Artemis for anything unlawful;
• run automated or bulk scans, or try to get around the scan or sign-in limits;
• use Artemis to try to reach private networks, or otherwise interfere with how it works.

We may block access for anyone who breaks these rules.

No warranty

Artemis is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be accurate, complete, available or free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Artemis or your reliance on its results. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Changes

We may change Artemis or these terms at any time. When we change the terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Madhya Pradesh, India, have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
